What is the difference between an AMD Athlon Processor and an Intel Pentium or Core 2 Duo Processor? (laptop)?
I’m going off to uni in the fall and so I’m looking at buying a laptop. I want to know the difference between the various processors and the pros and cons of each. Which one is ‘better’ or recommended for schooling, listening to music, etc. The ones I’ve seen are the AMD Athlon Processor, the Intel Pentium, and the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. Thanks!
It depends on the cpu. Each runs in it’s own class. What you have to do is compare the benchmark tests of the cpu to see what one happens to be faster.
If you had to pick one right now without looking anything up i can tell you that the core2 duo are fast cpu’s
Anything labled “AMD Athlon Processor” “Intel Pentium” Sounds like older cpus but might not be the case might just be the way they’re labeled.
