My Compaq PC stops responding after I switched out the processor ?
My Compaq PC won’t respond/boot after I switch out the processor for a faster version of the same model (Pentium 4) 2.0Ghz->2.8Ghz.
ok so many things could be wrong, heres a list ;]
A.) it may be the same model but maybe the other hardware cannot handle speeds as fast as 2.8Ghz
B.) you may not have installed it correctly, take apart your computer and try taking it out then putting it back
C.) you may have knocked the BIOS or ROM or RAM and this may be stopping the computer from responding.
D.) powersupply to CPU may have been jarred (knocked)
E.) try plugging the computer in ;D
