Parts needed for a custom built desktop?
For a custom built desktop, I know you must have basic essential parts to build it.
CPU (Processor)
Motherboard
RAM
Case
Hard Drive
DVD/CD drive/burner
Video Card
Sound Card
So my questions are.
What other parts do you need?
(Fan, ?)
Also, how you would you install Windows Vista or XP or some operating system?
Any information on custom build desktops are appreciated.
How do you know if ALL the parts are compatible? Seems easy to mess it up.
Power supply?
You got everything but the PSU.
Soundcard is optional, and depending on your motherboard you don’t need a video card, though if you plan on gaming then you will need one.
The only compatibility issues you may have is with the motherboard, ram, and cpu. Check your motherboard specifications to make sure they support the ram (DDR2 or DDR3) and cpu (socket) you are buying.
