How do I open an external hdd and connect it as a slave disk in my laptop?
I have a Seagate Free Agent Desktop HDD and I got a bunch of errors (I/O error, the main) which doesn’t allow me to access the files I have. I tried everything I can think of and I’m inclining to open the case and connect it as a secondary disk directly to my laptop (Dell Inspiron). Can it be done?
Yep, but you can’t connect it directly. You’ll need a different enclosure or a simple adapter like this
