Why does Sims 3 keep crashing to desktop?
I bought the sims 3 today. It loads fine up untill i start creating a sim then crashes straight to desktop. I have downloaded the most recent patch and exceed the min requirements.
CPU Intel Core Duo E5300 2.6GHz
2GB Ram
500GB Hard Drive
Intel GMA 3100 Video Card 215MB
Why is this happening and how can i fix it?
Because your video card is crap and probably overheating.
CAS is very graphics intensive and tend to cause problems, even if you can run the rest of the game. There isn’t much you can do aside from getting a better video card, better cooling, or a better computer altogether.
Is it a laptop or a desktop? If it’s a desktop you can upgrade.
