How do i get my sounds to come from the pc speakers and not BOTH the speakers and tower?
I have a hp Compaq Pc and I need to know how to set my speakers up to where I can hear my music and sounds out of the speakers and not the actual pc tower? Right now the music and sounds are coming out of the actual tower and the speakers…help! Thanks!
You have an internal speaker in your PC, which is actually not very common. Since you have speakers, you have no need of the internal speaker, so you can disconnect it.
Shut your computer down and unplug it. Then open the case. Touch part of the metal frame of the case to discharge any static electricity you may have on you. The speaker is usually mounted on the very bottom of the case or on the front of the case, towards the bottom. Trace the cable for this speaker back to where it connects to the motherboard and disconnect it by removing the plug from the pins. You may want to make a note of where this was connected, in case you ever want to re-connect it.
